Virgon was one of the wealthier colonies. It was famous for the skill and wealth of its trading corporations. It also produced and exported luxury goods.

Virgon Brew was a beer produced on the planet and exported to other Colonies.

After the Cylon attack, the Cylons established detention and medical research facilities near the city of Persephone, population 20,000.
